“I felt a connection with nature since I was a little child. I love to observe colours, textures, small creatures, nature in an urban environment and how it takes over, people. Since I had my daughter, I have been contemplating the concept of learning and what makes us who we are. Over the last few years, I have turned my focus to what I had forgotten briefly, my happy place. Working with people. Collaboration. Teaching. Learning. Helping others to see what they are capable of. The exchange of different perceptions following some instructions, and see each interpretation. Magic. When we look, what do we see? My attention is turned to identifying colours and textures in nature. Collecting something, a leaf, and looking at it closely. The shapes, this hidden world that we can live a whole life without knowing it is there. That is where the inspiration for my work comes from, and the world I like to spend my time in”.
