Event led by Highlife Highland Countryside Rangers

Guided walk back in time to just after the ice-age where the bones of reindeer, polar bears and even humans were discovered in the caves. Stout footwear is essential. We follow a well-worn path but it is steep in places with a vertical drop to one side. Total distance for this walk is 5km.

Meet at the Bone Caves car park 4km south of Inchnadamph. Suitable for families but for safety reasons children must be over eight years old.

This event is part of the Scottish Geology Festival 2024, organised by the Scottish Geology Trust and we will be accompanied by a guide from the North West Highlands Geopark
