Although a small mountain, Ben Stack has amazing views of the local area and landscape.  Come and explore with a guide from the Geopark – also a chance to see local wildlife such as mountain hares and ptarmigan (and maybe eagles).

The walk will be taken at a steady pace, but it is steep, often boggy, and can be difficult at times. This is a strenuous walk for adults, so a reasonable level of fitness, hiking boots and waterproof and outdoor clothing are essential.

The walk distance is 7km in total and is subject to good weather conditions. If the weather is not good, a low level alternative will be taken.

Bring lunch and a warm drink.
