Julien Moreau: Assynt landscapes a key to understand ice-sheet extension in western Europe during ice ages.
We will look to the iconic morphologies of the Sullivan and its neighbour steep hills as well as the way the rocks have been scoured on land and under the sea. From simple drawings and observations we can understand how dynamic were glaciers flowing over northern Scotland. These observations will allow to estimate ice sheet coverage at the scale of western Europe.
